An accessible venue suitable for functions, community meetings and conferences with 2 halls available for hire. It features high ceilings, carpeted floor, a small wooden dance floor, a stage, window drapes, and a refurbished kitchen located on the first floor, which is serviced by a lift.

It is available for hire 7 days a week from 7am to midnight.

Please note, we require 2 weeks notice to make a booking at a community venue that is not staffed.

Dimensions

The main hall is 14 metres by 14 metres. The stage is 5.6 metres by 2.5 metres at a height of 95 centimetres.

Special considerations

  • Noise needs to be kept to a minimum, residential area.
  • Curtains need to be kept closed in the evening.

  • Gold licence caterers required for alcohol service, venue is unlicensed.

Accessibility

  • Hearing loop at the front of the hall for people who are hearing impaired.
  • Side entrance has level access for people who use a wheelchair.
  • Lift access and accessible toilets on both levels.

Transport and parking

  • Redfern train station is within walking distance.
  • Bus route 308 stops on Henderson Road near Garden Street. Bus routes 309 and 310 stop on the corner of Regent Street and Henderson Road.
  • Limited 2-hour parking.

Small hall hire fees

  • weekdays until 5pm: $47 an hour
  • weekdays after 5pm, all day on weekends and public holidays: $66 an hour
  • day rate (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm only): $282 a day
  • weekend full day rate, including public holidays (8am to midnight): $660 a day
  • community hire rate: 50% discount on standard hire rate.

  • community hire rate: 50% discount on standard hire rate.
