Changes to our grants programs

Our main funding round will open in late July each year, making it easier for people to plan their applications ahead of time. This allows us to consider all applications together, ensuring funding is shared fairly across different projects, community benefits and organisations.

To help applicants get organised we now:

• publish information about our main funding round and opportunities for support weeks before the grants open
• open annual application rounds for 6 weeks instead of 4.

Decisions about the annual July round will be announced in November for projects starting from 1 January.

This gives applicants more time and assurance of funding for the coming year.

We’re making it easier to talk to our grants team in person or online.

• book time to visit the team in person at our libraries or community centres.

We also have online webinars and grants writing workshops.
