What we’re doing
Council adopted the Community Strategic Plan – Delivering Sustainable Sydney 2030–2050 on 27 June 2022 which guides the development and planning for our local area. The 4-year delivery program identifies our goals and the steps required to reach our long-term vision and objectives.
We have developed a suite of annual documents to support the key directions, targets and major objectives within the delivery program.
Why we’re doing this
The Covid-19 pandemic was an unprecedented public health crisis. It created an economic crisis, with financial implications for the City of Sydney and its communities that continue to impact our draft budget and long-term financial plan. We also face underlying financial pressures from rising labour, materials, contracts, service and construction costs.
Our draft operational plan 2023/24 outlines our projects and programs for the next 12 months including the annual budget and proposed revenue policy for rates and fees and charges.
The draft resourcing strategy 2023 identifies how we will use our resources – financial, workforce, asset management and technology – and engage our communities to achieve the goals of our community strategic plan.
