Proposed changes to planning controls for 10–12 Nimrod Street, Darlinghurst

Project Status: Closed

Public consultation period to

What we’re doing

The proposal will increase the building height and floor-space ratio for 10–12 Nimrod Street. 10 Nimrod Street is the long-term home of the Stables Theatre and 12 Nimrod Street is an adjacent 2-storey dwelling.

The proposed changes will allow for the continued use of 10 Nimrod Street as an entertainment facility and for future expansion of the Stables Theatre to include 12 Nimrod Street.

The proposed changes will:

  • allow for the continued use of the site as a theatre, and its future expansion to include the adjacent property at 12 Nimrod Street
  • an increase in the maximum height permitted on the site from 9m to 11m
  • an increase in the floor-space ratio from 1.75:1 to 2:1.

The increase in height and floor-space ratio will only apply if the site is developed as a theatre.
