Kings Cross urban design study

Kings Cross urban design study

Following community consultation, proposed changes to planning controls for Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross were placed on public exhibition. More information.

We’re reviewing some parts of the planning framework that guide local character and development in Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross.

As part of this review, we invite you to a workshop to discuss the future character of Kings Cross.

Your feedback from the workshop will inform any amendments we propose to the Sydney Development Control Plan 2012, the associated locality statement, and an urban design study for the properties on Darlinghurst Road.

How to give your feedback

Please join us in a workshop from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 5 July 2018. Further details will be provided when you register. We’d like your feedback on how you want the area to look and feel over the next 5, 10 or 20 years.

This includes your ideas on what makes Kings Cross special and what we need to protect. We also want to know the types of activities and land uses you think are appropriate. The workshop will be run by independent facilitators.

If you'd like to attend, email by 5pm on Friday 29 June 2018. Spaces are limited to 100 community representatives, so please confirm your attendance as soon as you can.
